September 15, 2009 -"When all else fails, go to page one of the 50-year-old Democrat Party playbook and launch the race card. It's page one of their playbook. They would have us believe that there are no legitimate problems with Obamacare. There are no legitimate concerns. It's just racists who want to stop the first black president." - Rush Limbaugh, 2009
August 17, 2009 - "If you want to picture the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face forever." - O'Brien, Nineteen Eighty-Four. (picture our tax burden).
August 12, 2009 - "Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American." - Nancy Pelosi, 2009 regarding the health-care debate (wouldn't rushing a trillion dollar debt through without addressing concerns be considered drowning out opposing views?)
August 7, 2009 - "These two entities...are not facing any kind of financial crisis.... The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing." - Barney Frank - Democrat, Financial Services Committee, 2003. (he was referring to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and how their involvement in sub prime lending does not pose any kind of risk).
August 6, 2009 - "I want you to argue with them and get in their face." - Barack Obama, 2008. (Now people who argue the issues and get in the faces of people are considered nut jobs and extermists, only acceptable if liberals are doing it).
August 5, 2009 - "I think that we can by making the system more efficient, get a lot of money out of the system and use that to help subsidize workers who have it and to improve the efficiency of the system. I haven’t yet made a decision in terms of how much additional money is going to be needed to meet my goal of ensuring that universal health care exists in this country within six years. I can tell you that I will do whatever it takes, because I think over the long-term it’s good for families, it’s good for business, it’s good for the country. So I have not foreclosed the possibility that we might need additional revenue in order to achieve my goal, but I think we shouldn’t underestimate the amount of money that can be saved in the existing system." - Barack Obama, 2007 on Healthcare Reform. (see bolded, in sharp contrast to promises made about not increasing taxes).
August 4, 2009 - “The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of “liberalism,” they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” He went on to say: “I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform.” - Norman Thomas, 1944.
